XTRATUF- Campaign & Branding
In coastal Alaska—especially in Sitka—XTRATUF boots are more than just footwear; they’re a reflection of everyday life shaped by rain, saltwater, and hard work. Originally developed in the 1950s for commercial fishermen, XTRATUF boots were built to handle slick decks and relentless weather, quickly becoming a trusted staple across Alaska’s fishing communities. In a place like Sitka, where the climate is persistently wet and the terrain unforgiving, these boots earned the nickname “Alaskan sneakers” because people wear them everywhere—from docks to grocery stores. Over time, they’ve come to symbolize resilience, practicality, and a quiet pride in living close to nature and the sea.
