Over-planning is the killer of all things creative. I find myself too often waiting to start a project because I don’t have all the details fully planned in my mind. But creativity thrives on movement, on iteration, on discovering ideas while doing — not just while thinking.

That said, this doesn’t mean I’m unprofessional or careless. Structure and intention absolutely matter, but there’s a fine line between preparation and paralysis. I’ve learned that momentum is often more valuable than perfection at the outset. You can (and should) refine, adjust, and sharpen as you go — but you can’t shape what hasn’t been started.
